I’ve been using Google lately to find what sites are linking to ours, and in the process ran across some non-North-American geotech blogs. Some I can only read with the help of Babelfish, so no guarantees about content, but you might find them interesting!
- Geotecnia & Fundações, by Lucas, in Portuguese from Brazil.
- corat coret si bolang, by Fajreen, in Indonesian from, yes, Indonesia. I’m actually not sure this is a proper geotech blog, but at least a couple of entries seem geo-engineering-related…?!
- Concrete & Us, by Hüseyin Gören, in Turkish from Turkey.
- Geotechnical Engineering 101 and more, in English from India.
I was also surprised (not sure I should have been) to find that some of the largest referrers to geo-slope.com are some non-English engineering forums, such as:
- ConstruAprende.com - Spanish forums from Mexico
- Naver - a Korean search engine
- Ketcau - Vietnamese construction forums
- Diễn Đàn Xây Dựng Việt Nam - more Vietnamese forums
Our office is rather quiet this week, with school out for the summer, Canada Day tomorrow, and the Calgary Stampede beginning on Friday.
I’ll try to bring you something of more substance next week!
